Who says Americans aren’t practical? Just look at how many chose Toyota Prius as their dream car. You can’t find a more reliable or fuel-efficient model on the market, and no one ever accused one of being stylish. Maybe millennials consider such a hybrid a worthy object of their auto desires in 2018, and if so more power to them. It’s a car almost anyone can afford.

Now we’re talking. Of the thousands surveyed for this study, a sizable chunk said they wanted a Hellcat. No one can blame someone for dreaming of a piloting the most ferocious muscle car around. First of all, any car that tops 700 horsepower is comically unpractical. It’s the stuff dreams are made of, for sure. (Priced above $66,000, it’s also out of many buyers’ reach.)
